X-ceptional Music is a dynamic music production company, based in Rotterdam. Since 1997 we are active in the dance- and pop music industry. We combine several disciplines: a music label, a recording studio, freelance A&R and consultancy, artist management, mastering and live engineering.

Bas Kunnen
X-ceptional Music is founded in 1997 by Bas Kunnen.

Bas started producing in the early 90's and puts out productions and remixes on a regular basis.

In March 2000 Bas signes his track "Clubsystem" of his project Noisefloor to Combined Forces Records. This record changes his life. "Clubsystem" is played instantly by Tiesto, Mark van Dale, Erick E, Fedde le Grand, Baggi Begovic, Tony Cha Cha, Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1), Marco V and Benjamin Bates. This track establishes Bas' name in the international dance-scene instandly. Bas signes dozens of tracks to different labels, performs in The Netherlands and Israel as a live act, plays live at MTV, 3FM and L1 Televison, writes openingtunes for events and clubs and becomes boardmember of the Conamus Foundation. On of Bas's ideas is the succesful D3 during the Amsterdam Dance Event, a day for upcoming DJ’s and producers. Besides all this, Bas is jury by diverse DJ-contests, like "Zuiderstorm", "Hey DJ", and Grote Prijs Zuid Holland.

Beside these activities, Bas is active as a sound engineer (Live Engineering), DJ and freelance A&R Manager.

DJ Idriss
Since 2007 Bas works on a regular basis with DJ Idriss.

Idriss is DJ and producer for the FunX radiostation and is certified SAE engineer. Idriss started out in the Urbanscene.

By combining their different musical backgrounds, Bas and Idriss created their wellknown "Grande Vue"-sound.
